b. Information Collected Automatically (Technical & Usage Data)

To ensure core functionality and display real-time status, the App accesses system information on-device:

c. App Permissions Required

The Premium TV Launcher requires the following permissions to function as a home screen replacement and system utility:

• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (Display over other apps): Required for specific launcher behaviors and overlay features.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED (Boot Permission): Required to allow the App to automatically start when the device powers on, fulfilling its role as the home screen replacement.
• BLUETOOTH (for device status): Required to access battery status of connected Bluetooth gamepads and input devices.
• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to fetch weather data and manage user settings via Firestore.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for the following purposes:

• To Provide Core Launcher Functionality: To display your personalized home screen, launch applications, and manage your custom categories.
• To Display Real-Time Status: To accurately show local weather conditions and the battery status of connected gamepads.
• To Persist Preferences: To save your chosen themes, location, and Parental Control settings securely via Firestore.
• To Ensure System Functionality: To monitor system performance and prevent security threats.
• To Improve and Optimize the App: To understand aggregated user behavior and enhance features.

Crucially, we do not process any user settings or on-device data for marketing, advertising, or profiling. The Premium TV Launcher is an ad-free service.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

We implement robust security measures, focusing on the protection of your persistent user settings stored in Firebase.

• Database: User settings, preferences, and parental codes are stored in Google Cloud Firestore.
• Encryption In Transit (SSL/TLS): All data transferred between your devices and our Firestore database is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS.
• Encryption At Rest: Data stored within the Firestore database is managed by Google’s security policies, which include encryption at rest.
• Access Control: Access to your private user document in Firestore is strictly limited to your authenticated user ID (UID) and is protected by Firebase security rules.
• Retention: Persistent user settings (categories, parental code, location) are retained indefinitely until you choose to delete your app data or uninstall the App. Anonymous technical usage data is retained for a limited period for operational purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your user settings or personally identifiable information to third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes.

• Third-Party Services (Anonymized Data): We share only technical or aggregated, anonymized data with service providers (e.g., Google Analytics, Open-Meteo API) solely for improving our App and service functionality. The Open-Meteo API receives your IP-derived coordinates but does not receive your user identity.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or legal processes.
